The Chicks in San Antonio

The Chicks are an American country group formed in Dallas in 1989. The core lineup of Natalie Maines, Martie Maguire and Emily Strayer became known through albums including Wide Open Spaces, Fly, Home and Taking the Long Way, and songs such as “Cowboy Take Me Away,” “Goodbye Earl” and “Not Ready to Make Nice.” They performed as the Dixie Chicks until adopting their present name in 2020. The Fly Tour in 2000 was their first headlining arena tour. They followed it with the Top of the World Tour in 2003, which was documented on a live album and concert film, then mounted the Accidents & Accusations Tour in 2006. They returned to international touring for the DCX MMXVI World Tour and launched the Gaslighter Tour in 2022. The United States has been the principal market for their headline tours, and Canada has frequently formed part of their North American itineraries. They have also taken headline shows to the United Kingdom and Australia.
