The Christians are a British soul-pop band formed in Liverpool in 1985, led by singer Garry Christian. Their self-titled debut album produced “Forgotten Town,” “Hooverville” and “Ideal World”; later releases included the album Colour, the song “Words” and a version of the Isley Brothers’ “Harvest for the World.” In 1988, The Christians performed at the Nelson Mandela 70th Birthday Tribute at Wembley Stadium in London. The Christians 30th Anniversary Tour returned their catalogue to UK theatres in 2017 under Garry Christian’s lead.
