The Contours Tickets & 2026–2027 Tour Dates

The Contours are an American soul and rhythm-and-blues vocal group formed in Detroit in 1959. Signed to Motown’s Gordy label, they are best known for the 1962 recording “Do You Love Me,” written by Berry Gordy and later featured in Dirty Dancing. Their other enduring recordings include “First I Look at the Purse” and “Just a Little Misunderstanding.”

In 1962, The Contours took “Do You Love Me” on Motown’s Motortown Revue, the label’s touring package of vocal groups and solo artists. The tour included an engagement at New York’s Apollo Theater, where they performed as part of the Motown company.
