About The Dare
The Dare is the New York-based project of American musician and producer Harrison Patrick Smith. His dance-punk and electroclash songs drew attention through the single “Girls,” the Sex EP and the debut album What’s Wrong with New York? He also produced and co-wrote Charli XCX’s “Guess,” including the remix featuring Billie Eilish.
The Dare launched the Freakquencies club night at Home Sweet Home on Manhattan’s Lower East Side in 2022, establishing a recurring setting for his DJ sets and performances. He later took his vocal-led electronic show beyond New York clubs and performed at Glastonbury Festival in 2024.
