The Dark Side of the Moon is a European symphonic-metal band formed in 2021 by vocalist Melissa Bonny and guitarist Hans Platz, joined by harpist Jenny Diehl and drummer Morten Løwe Sørensen. The group reworks music associated with films, television and video games, and its debut album Metamorphosis includes versions of “Jenny of Oldstones,” “May It Be” and “Legends Never Die,” as well as original material such as “The Gates of Time.” The band played Rockharz in 2023 and later presented its soundtrack-focused set at Wacken Open Air.
