The Dead Daisies are an Australian hard-rock band formed in Sydney in 2012 by guitarist David Lowy. Built around a changing lineup of established rock musicians, the group has featured vocalists John Corabi and Glenn Hughes and guitarist Doug Aldrich. Its records include Revolución, Make Some Noise, Burn It Down, Holy Ground and Radiance, while “Long Way to Go” and “Rise Up” are among its best-known songs. In 2013, The Dead Daisies supported Aerosmith on dates in Australia and New Zealand, followed by shows with KISS in Australia in 2015. They later mounted the Like No Other Tour in support of Holy Ground in 2021 and returned to headline shows on the Radiance Tour in 2022. They have also performed at Wacken Open Air in Germany and Hellfest in France.
Glenn Hughes is an English rock singer, bassist and songwriter, born in Cannock in 1951. He first became known with Trapeze, then joined Deep Purple’s Mark III lineup and appeared on the albums Burn, Stormbringer and Come Taste the Band. His later work includes solo records and Black Country Communion, the hard-rock group featuring Joe Bonamassa, Jason Bonham and Derek Sherinian. Deep Purple played California Jam in 1974, where Glenn Hughes handled bass and vocals. He later toured under his own name and joined Black Country Communion for the 2011 European concerts documented on Live Over Europe. In 2017 he launched Glenn Hughes Performs Classic Deep Purple Live, singing material from his years in Deep Purple and playing bass with a full rock band.
