The Devil Makes Three is an American roots band formed in Santa Cruz, California, in 2002. Its music draws on old-time country, bluegrass, blues and folk punk, and the band is known for songs including “Old Number Seven,” “The Plank” and “Graveyard,” as well as the albums Do Wrong Right and I’m a Stranger Here. The live album Stomp and Smash documented the band performing at the Mystic Theatre in Petaluma. Festival appearances followed at Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza and San Francisco’s Hardly Strictly Bluegrass.
