Artist
The Dip is an American soul and R&B band formed in Seattle in 2013 by musicians who met at the University of Washington. The seven-piece group is known for its three-piece horn section, the song “Sure Don’t Miss You,” and the albums The Dip Delivers, Sticking With It and Love Direction. Live at the Showbox, released in 2020, documents a hometown performance at Seattle’s Showbox. The band later mounted headline dates behind Sticking With It, then supported Lake Street Dive on shows during the 2024 Good Together Tour, including Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The Dip performs with lead vocals, two guitars, bass, drums and horns. Tom Eddy fronts the group, while Brennan Carter, Levi Gillis and Evan Smith form its trumpet-and-saxophone section.
