The Dread Crew of Oddwood is an American band formed in San Diego in 2008. They play pirate-themed folk metal on acoustic instruments, a style the group calls “heavy mahogany.” Their recordings include the albums Heavy Mahogany, Rocktopus, Lawful Evil and Rust & Glory. In 2015, The Dread Crew of Oddwood toured North America on Piratefest alongside Alestorm and Swashbuckle, bringing their full-band acoustic setup into rock and metal clubs. Their later festival history includes a performance aboard 70000 Tons of Metal.
