The Fools are an American comedy-rock and power-pop band formed in Ipswich, Massachusetts, in 1975. They are known for “Psycho Chicken,” a parody of Talking Heads’ “Psycho Killer,” as well as the albums Sold Out and Heavy Mental and the song “It’s a Night for Beautiful Girls.” The Fools opened for The Knack and Van Halen on U.S. tours during their early album years. In later decades, the band returned to clubs and theatres around New England, among them Tupelo Music Hall in Derry, New Hampshire.
