About The Format
The Format is an American indie-pop and rock band formed in Peoria, Arizona, in 2002 by Nate Ruess and Sam Means. The group is known for the albums Interventions + Lullabies and Dog Problems, as well as songs including “The First Single (You Know Me),” “The Compromise” and “She Doesn't Get It.”
The Format toured behind both studio albums in clubs and theatres across the United States. In 2007, a Los Angeles performance from the Dog Problems era was filmed and released as Live at the Mayan Theatre.
