The Franklin Electric is a Canadian indie-folk band formed in Montreal and led by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jon Matte. The group is known for “Old Piano” and the albums This Is How I Let You Down, Blue Ceilings and In Your Heart, which pair folk songwriting with rock and pop arrangements. The Franklin Electric has toured across Canada and Europe in support of its recordings, playing clubs, theatres and festival stages. Its festival history includes Glastonbury Festival in England and Osheaga in Montreal.
