The Growlers are an American rock band formed in Dana Point, California, in 2006. Their music draws on surf rock, garage rock and psychedelia, a style the group dubbed “beach goth.” Brooks Nielsen’s vocals anchor albums including Hung at Heart, Chinese Fountain and City Club, as well as songs such as “One Million Lovers,” “Night Ride” and “Dope on a Rope.” In 2012, the band created and performed at the first Beach Goth festival at the Observatory in Santa Ana, establishing a recurring multi-act event around its concerts. The sixth edition moved to the LA Waterfront in 2017 and was presented as The Growlers Six.
