The Harlem Gospel Singers are an American gospel ensemble founded in 1991 by singer Queen Esther Marrow. Rooted in the church music of Harlem, the group performs gospel songs and spirituals, including standards such as “Oh Happy Day” and “Amazing Grace.” The ensemble spent decades touring European theatres and concert halls under Marrow’s direction. Its concerts feature a vocal ensemble, soloists and a live band, and repeated tours established a particularly strong stage history in Germany.
