The High Kings in Sydney

The High Kings are an Irish folk group formed in Dublin in 2008. They are known for multi-part vocal arrangements of traditional songs such as “The Rocky Road to Dublin,” “The Black Velvet Band” and “The Parting Glass,” alongside albums including Friends for Life and Grace & Glory. An early concert special filmed at Ardmore Studios brought the group to PBS audiences and preceded extensive touring in the United States. They later performed at the White House during Barack Obama’s presidency and brought their acoustic ensemble, close harmonies and traditional instruments to Glastonbury Festival.
