The Knack Tickets & 2026–2027 Tour Dates

The Knack was an American power-pop and new-wave band formed in Los Angeles in 1978 by singer and guitarist Doug Fieger, guitarist Berton Averre, bassist Prescott Niles and drummer Bruce Gary. The group is best known for “My Sharona” and “Good Girls Don’t,” both released on its 1979 debut album, Get the Knack.

The band played its first show at the Whisky a Go Go in Los Angeles in 1978, then developed its early set through appearances at the Troubadour. After Get the Knack was released, the group moved into larger halls and performed at Carnegie Hall in 1979. Later reunions returned The Knack to clubs and theatres before Doug Fieger’s death in 2010.
