About The Libertines
The Libertines are a British indie-rock band formed in London in 1997 around the songwriting partnership of Pete Doherty and Carl Barât. Their catalogue includes the albums Up the Bracket and The Libertines, as well as the songs “Time for Heroes,” “Don’t Look Back into the Sun” and “Can’t Stand Me Now.”
In 2010, The Libertines reunited their best-known lineup to headline the Reading and Leeds Festivals. They followed that return with a headline concert at London’s Hyde Park in 2014 and a surprise performance at Glastonbury in 2015. In 2022, they marked the 20th anniversary of Up the Bracket with a performance at Wembley Arena.
