Artist
The Long Ryders are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1981. Associated with the Paisley Underground, they play country rock with garage-rock and folk roots. Their best-known records include Native Sons, State of Our Union and Two-Fisted Tales, while “Looking for Lewis and Clark” became their signature song. During the 1980s, the band toured extensively in the United States and Europe and opened selected shows for U2 on The Joshua Tree Tour. A 2004 reunion led to a run of European concerts documented on the live release State of Our Reunion. Further tours followed the studio albums Psychedelic Country Soul and September November.
