About The Magpie Arc
The Magpie Arc are a British folk-rock group formed by Nancy Kerr, Martin Simpson, Adam Holmes, Tom A. Wright and Alex Hunter. Their music draws on electric folk, rock and blues, documented on the albums The Magpie Arc and Glamour in the Grey.
In 2022, The Magpie Arc took its self-titled debut on the group’s first UK tour after pandemic restrictions had delayed its stage plans. The concerts presented the material through a full electric band featuring guitars, Kerr’s fiddle, bass and drums. Festival performances followed at Cambridge Folk Festival and Shrewsbury Folk Festival.
