About The Marcus King Band
The Marcus King Band is an American blues-rock and Southern-rock group formed in Greenville, South Carolina, in 2013 and led by singer-guitarist Marcus King. The band introduced its guitar-led sound on Soul Insight, followed by The Marcus King Band and Carolina Confessions; its best-known songs include “Rita Is Gone” and “Goodbye Carolina.”
In 2017, the group launched the Marcus King Band Family Reunion, a multi-artist festival held at Pisgah Brewing Company in Black Mountain, North Carolina. Alongside that annual gathering, the band has performed at Bonnaroo and The Peach Music Festival.
