The Martins in Princeton

The Martins are an American sibling trio from Hamburg, Arkansas, known for Southern gospel and contemporary Christian music built around close three-part harmony. Their best-known songs include “The Promise” and “Except for Grace,” while a cappella arrangements have been a central part of their recorded work. Bill Gaither featured the trio in the Gaither Homecoming concert and video series after hearing them sing at a taping. They subsequently performed on the series’ touring concerts and developed their own schedule of church, theatre and gospel-event appearances. The Martins perform as a vocal trio, sometimes unaccompanied and sometimes with instrumental backing. Joyce Martin Sanders, Jonathan Martin and Judy Martin Hess carry the concert through their family harmony.
