The Movielife is an American punk band formed on Long Island, New York, in 1997. Their melodic pop-punk and hardcore catalog includes the albums This Time Next Year and Forty Hour Train Back to Penn, the EP The Movielife Has a Gambling Problem, and songs such as “Jamestown” and “Face or Kneecaps.” The band later returned with Cities in Search of a Heart. The band played Vans Warped Tour during its original run and ended that chapter with a farewell concert at Irving Plaza in 2003. After reuniting, they resumed touring clubs and theatres. Vinnie Caruana fronted the reunited band on its 2023 tour marking the 20th anniversary of Forty Hour Train Back to Penn.
