The Nields in Vienna

The Nields are an American folk-rock group formed in Washington, D.C., in 1991 and later based in Northampton, Massachusetts. Sisters Nerissa and Katryna Nields lead the act, whose close harmonies and songwriting are heard on albums including Gotta Get Over Greta and Play, and songs such as “Jennifer Falling Down” and “Easy People.” In the 1990s, the five-piece band toured nationally and performed at Lilith Fair and the Newport Folk Festival. After that lineup wound down in 2001, Nerissa and Katryna continued touring as an acoustic duo while retaining The Nields name. Their smaller-room performances have included Club Passim in Cambridge and Caffè Lena in Saratoga Springs.
