The Orielles in Halifax

The Orielles are a British indie band formed in Halifax, West Yorkshire, in 2013 by sisters Esme and Sidonie Hand-Halford and guitarist Henry Carlyle Wade. They play dream pop and guitar-led indie with disco rhythms and electronic textures. Their releases include the albums Silver Dollar Moment, Disco Volador and Tableau, as well as the songs “Sugar Tastes Like Salt,” “Bobbi’s Second World” and “Space Samba (Disco Volador Theme).” In 2019, The Orielles played Glastonbury Festival after touring Silver Dollar Moment through UK clubs. Their 2023 dates supporting Tableau included Village Underground in London and New Century Hall in Manchester.
