The Petersens in Dubuque

The Petersens are an American family bluegrass band formed in 2005 and based in Branson, Missouri. Their acoustic repertoire draws on bluegrass, country, gospel and folk, and they are widely known for filmed performances of songs including “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” “Jolene” and “Bohemian Rhapsody.” In 2010, the family began presenting seasonal shows at the Little Opry Theatre. That engagement became the base for a live schedule that later expanded to theatre tours in Europe. Their established concert lineup features guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, bass and dobro. Siblings Katie Petersen, Ellen Haygood, Matt Petersen and Julianne Petersen handle vocals and instrumental leads, joined by their mother Karen Petersen and dobro player Emmett Franz. The Petersens have also taken their theatre show to London and Glasgow on UK tours.
