The Piano Guys in Palm Desert

The Piano Guys are an American classical-crossover group formed in St. George, Utah, in 2010. Pianist Jon Schmidt, cellist Steven Sharp Nelson, videographer Paul Anderson and producer Al van der Beek became known through elaborately filmed instrumental arrangements. Their best-known works include “Michael Meets Mozart,” “Cello Wars” and “Beethoven’s 5 Secrets.” The group performed at Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall before mounting the Christmas Together Tour around its 2017 holiday album. Its concerts present the piano-and-cello arrangements in a multimedia format centered on Jon Schmidt and Steven Sharp Nelson.
