About The Planet Smashers
The Planet Smashers are a Canadian ska-punk band formed in Montreal in 1994 and led by singer and guitarist Matt Collyer. Their brass-driven catalogue includes the albums Life of the Party, Mighty and Unstoppable, as well as songs such as “Missionary’s Downfall” and “Surfing in Tofino.”
The band played the Vans Warped Tour and built a touring history that reached clubs and festival stages across Canada, the United States, Europe and Japan. Its concerts use a full-band ska setup centered on guitar, bass, drums and horns.
Festival appearances have included the Montreal Ska Festival and the Victoria Ska & Reggae Festival.
