The Prisoners in London

The Prisoners are an English garage-rock and mod band formed in Rochester, Kent, in 1980. Led by singer and guitarist Graham Day, their organ-driven sound is captured on the albums A Taste of Pink, Wisermiserdemelza and The Last Fourfathers, as well as songs including “Whenever I’m Gone” and “Hurricane.” During their original 1980s run, The Prisoners played the Klub Foot at the Clarendon Hotel in Hammersmith, a central venue for the British garage-rock scene. After the band split, its four members periodically reunited for concerts, including performances at London’s 100 Club.
