Artist
The Proclaimers are a Scottish folk-rock duo formed in 1983 by identical twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid. They are known for direct, harmony-led songs including “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles),” “Letter from America” and “Sunshine on Leith,” the title track of their second album. In 1986, the duo supported the Housemartins on a UK tour before establishing their own theatre and festival circuit. They later performed at Glastonbury, and in 2019 they played a headline concert at Edinburgh Castle. Craig and Charlie Reid sing and play acoustic guitars in a full-band concert lineup. The duo have repeatedly toured Australia and New Zealand, well beyond their home base.
