The Queers & Guttermouth in West Hollywood

The Queers are an American punk band formed in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, in 1981 and led by singer and guitarist Joe Queer. Their fast, melodic pop-punk draws heavily on the Ramones and 1960s pop; the band is known for Lookout! Records albums such as Love Songs for the Retarded and Don't Back Down, as well as the song “Punk Rock Girls.” The Queers toured as an opening act for the Ramones during the latter band’s final years and went on to play punk clubs across the United States and Europe. Their festival appearances have included Punk Rock Bowling in Las Vegas and Rebellion Festival in Blackpool.

Guttermouth is an American punk rock band formed in Huntington Beach, California, in 1988. Fronted by vocalist Mark Adkins, the group is known for fast, abrasive songs and caustic humor on albums including Friendly People, Teri Yakimoto and Musical Monkey. “Lipstick” and “She’s Got the Look” are among its best-known tracks. Guttermouth appeared repeatedly on Vans Warped Tour lineups during the 1990s and 2000s, playing the traveling festival’s outdoor stages across North America. The group also toured Australia repeatedly, including club dates in Sydney and Melbourne.
