About The Radio Dept.
The Radio Dept. are a Swedish indie-pop band formed in Lund in 1995. Built around Johan Duncanson and Martin Carlberg, the group plays hazy guitar pop shaped by electronic textures. Their best-known albums include Lesser Matters, Pet Grief, Clinging to a Scheme and Running Out of Love, while key songs include “Strange Things Will Happen,” “Where Damage Isn’t Already Done” and “Heaven’s on Fire.”
In 2011, concerts behind Clinging to a Scheme took The Radio Dept. through North America, where they performed at Coachella. The same year, the band played Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
