About The Searchers
The Searchers are an English beat group formed in Liverpool in 1959. Part of the Merseybeat era, they are known for recordings including “Sweets for My Sweet,” “Sugar and Spice,” “Needles and Pins,” “Don’t Throw Your Love Away” and “When You Walk in the Room.”
In the early 1960s, The Searchers played extended engagements at the Star-Club in Hamburg. After decades of touring British theatres, they concluded their announced Farewell Tour at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall in 2019.
