The Slackers in Leeds

The Slackers are an American ska and rocksteady band formed in New York City in 1991. Their music also draws on reggae, dub and soul, and their best-known recordings include the albums Redlight, The Question and Wasted Days, as well as songs such as “Married Girl,” “Watch This” and “Have the Time.” The 2000 concert album Live at Ernesto’s documented the band’s European touring through a performance in Sittard. Slack in Japan followed as another live release, while later festival appearances included Punk Rock Bowling in Las Vegas and the Supernova International Ska Festival in Virginia.
