The Stranglers in Aix-en-Provence

The Stranglers are an English rock band formed in Guildford in 1974. Their music draws on punk, new wave and keyboard-led rock, and their early albums include Rattus Norvegicus and No More Heroes. “Peaches,” “No More Heroes,” “Golden Brown” and “Always the Sun” are among their best-known songs. In 1978, The Stranglers staged an open-air concert at Battersea Park. Decades later, they performed at Glastonbury Festival in 2010 and celebrated four decades as a band on the Ruby Anniversary Tour in 2014. The 50 Years in Black tour marked their 50th anniversary in 2024 and included a concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
