Artist
The Streets are a British music project from Birmingham led by songwriter, producer and rapper Mike Skinner. Their conversational rap draws on UK garage, hip-hop and electronic pop, heard on the albums Original Pirate Material and A Grand Don’t Come for Free and songs including “Has It Come to This?”, “Fit but You Know It” and “Dry Your Eyes”. The 2011 Computers and Blues tour was billed as The Streets’ farewell and ended with a performance at The Big Reunion in Skegness. Mike Skinner revived the project for a 2018 reunion tour that included several nights at O2 Academy Brixton, followed in 2019 by a headline performance on the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury.
