The Legendary Pink Dots in Los Angeles

The Legendary Pink Dots are an Anglo-Dutch experimental rock group formed in London in 1980. Singer Edward Ka-Spel and keyboardist Phil Knight, known as The Silverman, have remained its creative core. The group plays psychedelic rock shaped by electronics, industrial textures and dark ambient passages; key albums include The Tower, Crushed Velvet Apocalypse and The Maria Dimension. After relocating to Amsterdam in 1984, the group toured repeatedly through Europe and North America, generally playing clubs and theatres as its catalogue expanded. In 2013, it performed at Roadburn in Tilburg, and the concert later appeared as Live at Roadburn 2013.
