The Teskey Brothers are an Australian soul and blues band formed in 2008 in Warrandyte, Victoria, by brothers Josh and Sam Teskey. Their recordings draw on classic rhythm and blues, southern soul and blues rock; key releases include Half Mile Harvest, Run Home Slow and The Winding Way, while “Pain and Misery,” “Hold Me” and “So Caught Up” are among their best-known songs. The band’s 2019 performances at Melbourne’s Forum Theatre became the concert album Live at the Forum. They later performed with Orchestra Victoria at Hamer Hall for the recording released as Live at Hamer Hall. The Winding Way Tour returned them to theatres and festivals, including Glastonbury in 2023.
Ocean Alley are an Australian band formed on Sydney’s Northern Beaches in 2011. Their music draws on psychedelic rock, reggae and surf rock, and they became widely known when “Confidence,” from the album Chiaroscuro, topped Triple J’s Hottest 100 of 2018. Their catalogue also includes “Knees,” “Yellow Mellow” and the albums Lonely Diamond and Low Altitude Living. In 2019, Ocean Alley performed at Reading Festival and Leeds Festival during a run of British and European shows. Following the release of Low Altitude Living in 2022, the band played its album tour across Australia and New Zealand, then continued with dates in North America and Europe. The live format is a six-piece band led by Baden Donegal’s vocals, supported by guitars, keyboards, bass and drums. Their festival appearances have also included Splendour in the Grass in Australia and Sziget in Budapest.
