The Three Degrees in Haarlem

The Three Degrees are an American female vocal group formed in Philadelphia in 1963. Their polished soul and disco sound became closely associated with Philadelphia International Records, where they recorded “When Will I See You Again” and sang on MFSB’s “TSOP (The Sound of Philadelphia),” the theme associated with the television show Soul Train. In 1974, The Three Degrees performed at Zaire 74 in Kinshasa, the music festival staged around the Rumble in the Jungle boxing match. Four years later, the group performed at the 30th-birthday celebration for Prince Charles.
