About The Utopia Strong
The Utopia Strong are an English experimental trio formed in 2018 by Steve Davis, Kavus Torabi and Michael J. York. They play improvised psychedelic and electronic music shaped by modular synthesis, guitar, woodwind and ambient textures. Their principal studio releases include the self-titled debut album and International Treasure.
The group has performed at Glastonbury Festival and Green Man, bringing its improvisational approach to festival stages and UK clubs. The musicians construct each performance through live interaction, and the same method was documented in sessions for Marc Riley on BBC Radio 6 Music.
