The Wailin' Jennys are a Canadian folk trio formed in Winnipeg in 2002. Their music centres on close three-part harmony and acoustic arrangements drawing on folk, bluegrass and Americana. “One Voice” became a signature song, while 40 Days, Firecracker and Bright Morning Stars established the group’s recorded catalogue. The trio became frequent guests on the public-radio program A Prairie Home Companion, bringing their harmony-led performances to its theatre and broadcast audiences. Released in 2009, the concert album Live at the Mauch Chunk Opera House documents their acoustic stage format at the Mauch Chunk Opera House in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania.
