The Wallflowers in Tucson

The Wallflowers are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1989 and led by singer-songwriter Jakob Dylan. Their roots-oriented alternative rock reached a wide audience through the album Bringing Down the Horse and its songs “One Headlight,” “6th Avenue Heartache,” “The Difference” and “Three Marlenas.” Later records include Breach, Red Letter Days and Exit Wounds. In 1997, The Wallflowers opened selected dates on the Rolling Stones’ Bridges to Babylon Tour while touring behind Bringing Down the Horse. They performed at Woodstock ’99 and, in 2023, supported Matchbox Twenty on the Slow Dream Tour.
