The War On Drugs are an American rock band formed in Philadelphia in 2005 by singer and guitarist Adam Granduciel and guitarist Kurt Vile. Led by Granduciel, they are known for the albums Lost in the Dream, A Deeper Understanding and I Don’t Live Here Anymore, as well as songs including “Red Eyes,” “Under the Pressure” and “Thinking of a Place.” A Deeper Understanding won the Grammy Award for Best Rock Album. In 2022, The War On Drugs began the I Don’t Live Here Anymore Tour and played Madison Square Garden in New York. In 2024, they joined The National for the co-headlining Zen Diagram Tour through North American amphitheatres, and Lucius opened the shows. They have also performed at Glastonbury in England and Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
