Artist
British singer-songwriter Thea Gilmore was born in Oxford in 1979 and writes folk-rock songs marked by direct, literate lyrics. She is known for albums including Rules for Jokers, Avalanche and Harpo’s Ghost, as well as songs such as “Juliet (Keep That in Mind)” and “This Girl Is Taking Bets.” In May 2004, she toured the UK as support for Joan Baez. She later headlined her own British tours in clubs and theatres, while festival appearances included Glastonbury Festival and Cambridge Folk Festival.
