Artist
Thornetta Davis is an American blues and soul singer from Detroit. Her deep, forceful vocals are central to the albums Sunday Morning Music and Honest Woman, which also draw on rock and gospel. Beginning in 2006, Davis built a long-running weekly residency at Detroit’s Raven Lounge around performances with her band. She has also brought that repertoire to the Detroit Jazz Festival and the Concert of Colors.
