Artist
Tindersticks are a British band formed in Nottingham in 1991, led by singer and songwriter Stuart Staples. Their orchestral chamber pop and alternative rock took shape on the albums Tindersticks, Tindersticks II and Curtains; “Tiny Tears,” “Travelling Light” and “Another Night In” are among their best-known songs. The group has also created several film scores for director Claire Denis. In 1995, Tindersticks recorded a concert at the Bloomsbury Theatre in London, later released as The Bloomsbury Theatre 12.3.95. A 2001 performance featuring orchestral arrangements was likewise documented on Live at the Royal Albert Hall, 5th October 2001. Decades later, the Past Imperfect tour revisited songs gathered on the band’s retrospective covering 1992 to 2021.
