Tinsley Ellis is an American blues guitarist, singer and songwriter from Atlanta. After leading the Heartfixers, he began his solo recording career with Georgia Blue on Alligator Records. His catalogue also includes Storm Warning, Hell or High Water, Midnight Blue and Ice Cream in Hell. The 1991 Alligator Records 20th Anniversary Tour placed him in a traveling blues revue with Koko Taylor, Lonnie Brooks and Elvin Bishop. He later documented his electric road band on the 2005 concert album Live! Highwayman. His performances have also taken a solo acoustic form centered on guitar, vocals and stories, the format behind Naked Truth.
