Tom Ballard is an Australian stand-up comedian, broadcaster and writer, born in Warrnambool in 1989. His comedy centres on politics, social issues and personal experience, while his broadcast work includes co-hosting triple j’s breakfast programme with Alex Dyson and presenting the television satire Tonightly with Tom Ballard. Ballard won Best Newcomer at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2009 for Tom Ballard Is What He Is. His 2015 show Taxis & Rainbows & Hatred was later nominated for Best Newcomer at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards and performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
