Durval Lelys in Ribeirão Preto

Durval Lelys is a Brazilian singer, guitarist and songwriter known as the longtime frontman of the axé band Asa de Águia. His repertoire is closely associated with Bahia’s Carnival music and songs including “Dança do Vampiro,” “Quebra Aê” and “Com Amor.” Durval Lelys spent decades leading Asa de Águia on trio elétrico performances at Salvador Carnival. As a solo artist, he continues to perform on Brazil’s Carnival and micareta circuit, including Fortal in Fortaleza and Carnatal in Natal.
