Artist
Tommy Castro is an American guitarist, singer and songwriter born in San Jose, California, in 1955. He plays electric blues, blues rock and soul-blues, first leading the Tommy Castro Band and later Tommy Castro & The Painkillers. His best-known releases include Exception to the Rule, The Devil You Know and A Bluesman Came to Town. Live at the Fillmore, released in 2000, documented his band at The Fillmore in San Francisco. The later Killin’ It Live captured Tommy Castro & The Painkillers during a series of concerts across the United States. He has also performed repeatedly aboard the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise.
