Tommy Körberg in Gothenburg

Tommy Körberg is a Swedish singer and actor, born in Norsjö in 1948, whose work spans pop, schlager and musical theatre. He represented Sweden with “Judy, min vän” and “Stad i ljus,” and is closely associated with the role of Anatoly Sergievsky in Chess and the song “Anthem.” At the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest in Madrid, he performed “Judy, min vän,” then created the role of Anatoly in the original West End production of Chess at the Prince Edward Theatre in 1986. He returned to Eurovision in Dublin in 1988 with “Stad i ljus,” and in 2002 played Anatoly again in the Swedish-language production Chess på svenska at Cirkus in Stockholm.
